Bamboo and Cherry Blossoms

69 Windsor Street, Arlington, MA 02474

June 3, 2017 from 5 - 6 PM

The ensemble Bamboo and Cherry Blossoms will be performing beautiful Japanese music with koto harp and shakuhachi flute, accompanied by Japanese dance by Michiko Kurata. All the dance pieces are her original choreography. Bamboo and Cherry Blossoms has mostly performed at private events, so don’t miss this rare opportunity to see them perform! In addition to the music and dancing, you will also be treated to Japanese tea and sweets.

This performance is a part of Arlington Porchfest, a public event where 130 bands will be performing on 80 porches in Arlington on Saturday, June 3rd from 12-6pm.

The performances are all free and open to the public, with genres ranging from rock, folk, jazz, blues, funk, cover/pop, classical to world music.

You can learn about the 130 bands that will be performing on the Arlington Porchfest website at https://arlingtonporchfest.org
