The Trustee, nonprofit conservation organization invites visitors to " Get Out in the Garden" and experience another one of its iconic properties after the successful lunch of its Crane Beach pop-up earlier this summerr

About Mytoi Garden 

Programs at the Mytoi Pop-Up will be presented in partnership with Boston Children’s Museum staff.

Programs 

Kamishibai Storytelling

Thursday, August 11 | 1:15 & 1:30 PM

Kamishibai, or “Paper Plays,” is a traditional form of visual Japanese storytelling using illustrated cards and dialogue. Join us for the story of "Kaguyahime - The Bamboo Princess" and stay for making Tanzaku, or wishing cards, after the second round of the story.

Make a Wish With Tanzaku Cards

Thursday, August 11 | 2-3PM

Writing down wishes on Tanzaku and hanging them in bamboo is a favorite activity for kids in Japan during the Tanabata summer star festival. Come write your own Tanzaku cards, and take them home to hang up for good luck!

Make your own Koinobori  (Carp Kites)

Join us to make traditional Japanese carp shaped kites, or Koinobori, known for their celebration of children and the hope for their bright futures.
 

Kokedama: DIY Hanging Moss Gardens

Wednesday, August 17 | 12-2PM

Use moss, ferns and soil to make a simple, beautiful hanging garden  to take home.
