Griffin Museum of Photography presents
Lecture by Dr. Paul Y. Watanabe
In conjunction with Patrick Nagatani’s retrospective, Dr. Watanabe presents an examination of the forced removal and incarceration of nearly 120,000 Americans of Japanese descent during World War II. Attention will be paid to the importance of the internment experience in addressing prevailing challenges relating to race, immigration, civil liberties, national security, citizenship, etc.
