The Japan Society of Boston Annual Gala is a premiere celebration of the people whose dedicated lives make our world a better place. 

In April, 2018, we are grateful to honor Mr. Roger Servison, whose exemplary service in Boston has fostered decades of art and cultural exchange with Japan. 

Roger T. Servison is the president of Strategic New Business Development at Fidelity Investments, and was previously president of the Monarch Capital Corporation. After graduating from Harvard Business School in 1969, Mr. Servison became actively involved in the finance industry, working at Fidelity since the 1970s. He has served as senior vice president and managing director at Fidelity Investment, and was President and Director of Fidelity Brokerage Services (Japan) for ten years. He has also been on over a dozen committees and boards, been a member of trustees for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and a Vice-Chairman of Boston Symphony Orchestra Inc.

Each year, the Annual Dinner of The Japan Society of Boston celebrates the organization's important role as a bridge between the people of Japan and America, and provides an opportunity to support the diverse activities of the Japan Society of Boston. The Annual Dinner is an event that annually features top Japanese and American business and cultural leaders, as well as internationally celebrated artists and performers. In addition to a distinctive fundraising auction or raffle, there is a high-level dinner and speakers program. Each year the Annual Dinner of the Japan Society honors distinguished Japanese and American individuals for achievements of special merit or distinction in cultural, educational, scientific, and business affairs.
